Your Benefits
- You will have the opportunity to spend a week in one of the research laboratories partner in the project.
- You will be given the chance to meet researchers personally, have firsthand information on top scientific EU-funded projects and experience how to communicate research outcomes.
- You will develop your ‘science network’ including scientists and other young journalists, as well as representatives of organisations of journalism.
- At the end of the workshop week, you will feel confident enough to prepare your media project in the field of science and research. This could be in the form of an in-depth article for the general press, or an audiovisual production, likely to be turned into a broadcasting production, online video and podcast for the European audiovisual media.
- You will have the chance to present the media editors a valuable piece of work on a scientific topic, which can also be published on the RELATE website.
- The best piece of work will be presented at the project final event in Brussels, in January 2011, gathering high level media personalities, researchers and EC officers. There, you can get the opportunity to meet media experts and institution officers.
This is a real experience of public relations and networking for your future career!
